Download DigiCert CIPLock

From here you can download the DigiCert PKI Platform for CIPlus CIPLock tool to verify, decrypt and unpack signed and encrypted certificate and key archive files.

Preconditions

The following preconditions have to be fulfilled in order to execute the DigiCert PKI Platform for CIPlus CIPLock application.
Please note that administrator privileges might be required to perform some of these steps!

(1) Install Java 8 Runtime Environment (32-Bit or 62-Bit as supported by the system you are currently using to launch CIPLock)

Please download and install an up-to-date Java 8 runtime environment.
You can download the latest Java JRE from here:
Java JRE 8 update 202

(2) Install Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files

To enable strong encryption algorithms, a patch has to be applied to the Java JRE. This patch is available for download from Sun on the same page:
Unlimited Strength Jurisdi ction Policy (the last download link "Other Downloads").

The package contains detailed installation instructions. But essentially, you have to follow these steps:

• Extract the downloaded archive to a temporary directory. You will find a sub directory jce that contains a sample of files.
• Locate the Java JRE installation directory. On Windows computers, this is typically something like C:\Program Files\Java\jre8\.
• Copy all files from jce to the directory lib\security below the Java JRE installation path.
